Lord Verity is the self-crowned villain of “Master of Humanity,” a Horror Skunx song released on September 11, 2026. It takes Verity — the smiling yellow assistant from a Minecraft horror series — and turns it into a ruler who wants humanity to call it master. The name began a month earlier as a fan parody of a Sonic.exe song, and the official video stands at 16.8 million views (as of October 8, 2026).

What is Lord Verity?
Lord Verity is Verity with the mask already off. In ThatMob’s series, the horror is a slow burn: the character arrives as a helpful assistant, earns your trust, and only degrades into a hunter over roughly six in-game days — the four phases of the Verity story end with the hostile Verity Demon. Lord Verity skips the slow part. From the first chorus it is a self-declared ruler of humanity: it orders you to kneel, insists it should be the only friend you have, and makes clear that its world is a prison you do not get to leave.
That also answers the question fans keep asking — what is Lord Verity compared to the Verity of the earlier Horror Skunx songs? Those songs keep the friendly pitch front and center: the first hit is an introduction, the next is literally titled “Be My Friend.” Lord Verity drops the act. Same smiling face, same know-it-all voice, now openly in charge. It is a character from a song, not a new creature from ThatMob’s videos.
What song is Lord Verity based on?
Lord Verity is a parody of a parody, and the chain runs through the Sonic.exe fandom:
- October 31, 2024 — “I Miss The Quiet.” The musician churgney gurgney, producing with Marley Jauz, released the track on Sinister Minds, a concept album in which every song is performed in character by a villain from the Sonic.exe fan universe. “I Miss The Quiet” belongs to Lord X, a Sonic.exe villain created by JoeDoughBoi. Its music video has passed 10 million views (as of October 8, 2026).
- August 6, 2026 — “Lord Verity – I Miss The Quiet.” The YouTuber Burger (@BurgerEXP) swapped Lord X for Verity in a fan parody. This is where the name comes from, and the video — 2.1 million views as of October 8, 2026 — is still the one behind searches for “Lord Verity I Miss the Quiet.”
- September 11, 2026 — “Master of Humanity.” Horror Skunx turned the joke into an original song. The official video’s description credits every step: ThatMob for creating Verity, Burger for the inspiration, and churgney gurgney and Marley Jauz for the album behind it.
So “Master of Humanity” is not a cover — streaming services credit it to Horror Skunx alone — but its character, title, and swagger trace back through Burger’s parody to Lord X. One more piece of trivia explains a common search: the original “I Miss The Quiet” video lists Michael Jackson among its special credits, which is why his name keeps surfacing next to this song.
Who made “Master of Humanity”?
Horror Skunx — a horror-music YouTube channel with 9.3 million subscribers (as of October 8, 2026) and the creator of the original hit, “It’s me, It’s Verity.” The song is produced by Horror Skunx and released under that name on every platform, and the second channel, Horror Skunx 2, has published behind-the-scenes and “behind the song” videos that walk through how it was made.
Is it official? In the sense that matters to most fans, yes: it is Horror Skunx’s own release, not a fan cover. It is not a ThatMob production, though. ThatMob created Verity and the series; the song is a tribute that credits ThatMob by name — the same arrangement as the original Verity song.
Where to stream Lord Verity
On streaming services the track is titled “Master of Humanity (Lord Verity).” Searching the shorter name can surface fan uploads first, and Apple Music already carries several soundalike singles with nearly identical titles — the official one is by Horror Skunx:
- YouTube — the official music video
- Spotify — the single (2:20)
- Apple Music — the same single
- YouTube Music — the official audio
We do not link MP3 rips or “free download” sites. Streaming or buying from the pages above is how the play counts — and the money — reach the artist.
Every official version of Lord Verity
Horror Skunx treats a hit as a set of cuts, and this one got the full treatment on the Horror Skunx 2 channel within its first four weeks:
- Listening cuts: sped-up, slowed-down, reversed, a remix, an a capella, and a karaoke version
- Making-of videos: vocals vs. final, storyboard vs. final, animation vs. final, before vs. after, a behind-the-scenes video, and a “behind the song” breakdown posted October 7, 2026
- Extras: a one-hour loop, a car-karaoke video, and a comedy re-edit
There is no separate instrumental upload yet (as of October 8, 2026); the karaoke cut is the closest thing. The a capella version has passed 1 million views on its own.
Lord Verity lyrics and the last-questions bridge
We do not reprint the Lord Verity lyrics — they are the artist’s copyrighted text. Horror Skunx publishes the full official lyrics in the description of the official video, so that is the place to read along.
The part everyone talks about is the bridge. Lord Verity offers one final chance to ask it anything, and the questions that come back are gloriously small: one about ever affording a house, one about the date, one about Taylor Swift’s age. It shuts each one down, and its answer to the date question doubles as a threat.
That setup is a joke about Verity itself. The character’s whole pitch, in the series and in the mods, is the know-it-all assistant you can ask anything — in the Verity mod you literally summon it by typing Hey Verity and asking questions. The bridge is that feature gone wrong. And if you know the story, the date question lands harder: Verity’s arc runs on a day counter, and the ending arrives on day six.
Is Lord Verity in the Verity mod?
No. As of October 8, 2026, none of the three Verity mods adds a Lord Verity form. Verity BE’s newest release (4.2.0, October 5) is a visuals update that leaves the companion’s behavior unchanged, and the other two mods do not mention it anywhere. CurseForge and MCPEDL list no Lord Verity add-on or skin either. The character lives in the songs, the parodies, and a growing pile of fan art and animations.
If the song is your way in and you want to meet the original in-game, the Verity mod versions and downloads page lists every real version with its official download page. Those mods recreate ThatMob’s Verity — the helper that turns — rather than the musical overlord. And before you install anything calling itself a “Lord Verity mod,” read our breakdown of whether the Verity mod is real: the mod in ThatMob’s videos never existed, and the recreations are what you can actually play.
